A new season is approaching fast! And this isn't an ordinary year on the Island. On November 20th, the Islanders will open up a new era of Islander hockey when they play their first game at UBS Arena in Belmont Park. This arena has been long sought after by the Islanders faithful with the aging glory that is Nassau Coliseum being a less than adaquate NHL venue after recent rennovation. There was also the failed attempt to move Isles hockey to Brooklyn at the Barclays Center, but that failed miserably as the ice conditions were awful and there were many obstructed seats.
